MANUAL OF MOTORINGThis brochure ad insert by MINI USA came out in early 2003.  “The Manual of Motoring is intended to provide information about the differences between “driving” and “motoring.”  Information that, under normal motoring conditions, would take MINI owners months to discover for themselves.”

The 16 page manual contains:

  • LET’S MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC – Making sounds in the MINI.
  • LET’S STASH STUFF – About the glove box and storing stuff.
  • LET’S PARK – Parking to avoid creating “phantom spots”.
  • LET’S COMMUNICATE – Motoring greetings.
  • LET’S ATTRACT ATTENTION – Unconventional use of headlamps (which raise with bonnet).
  • LET’S GIVE IT A NAME – Giving your MINI a cool name.
  • LET’S MASTER THE ASPHALT – Identifying the various types of road surfaces.
  • LET’S FREESTYLE – Motoring off the roadway including racing.
  • LET’S CUSTOMIZE – Motoring accessories and graphics and a dashboard figurine cut-out.
  • LET’S BE THE BIGGER CAR – Giving jump starts for good motoring mojo.
  • LET’S STAY OUT OF TROUBLE – Instructions for changing your shorts inside the MINI (not behind car door).
