Matchbox 2012 MINI Cooper S Convertible

For you die-cast MINI collectors, Matchbox released its first MINI for 2012.

The MINI Cooper S Convertible comes in bright metallic blue paint with graphic white checkers and large 6 meatballs on the sides. The die-cast MINI is number 3 of 10 in the MBX Beach series and number 13 of 120 in the entire 2012 Matchbox line.

GreenLight Collectibles die-cast MINIs

We have featured many Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, and Matchbox die-cast MINIs, but here is another maker of them.

GreenLight Collectibles produces a Motor World die-cast line in 1:64 scale. They have produced seven series since 2009, most of which have included MINI models. The MINIs are part of the Classics and British Editions.

1:64 Motor World die-cast model cars feature 100% authentic metal bodies, plastic chassis, authentic detailed wheels and are officially licensed by the respective automobile companies. As with GreenLight Collectibles offerings, the “Green Machine” chase car program carries over into the Motor World line with 2% of the production run manufactured in alternate schemes to provide the marketplace with the rare vehicles the collector craves.

Collectibles: Hot Wheels 2011 MINI CHALLENGE in white

Months ago we posted the Hot Wheels 2011 MINI CHALLENGE in Blue and Chili Red. A third color variation has appeared: White with a Red roof. It has the same graphics as the previous two but has black wheels with redline tires.

This one is labeled MINI COOPER S CHALLENGE instead of MINI CHALLENGE but is still number 30/50.

Collectibles: Hot Wheels 2011 yellow MINI

For the collectors, we have been featuring the 2011 Hot Wheels collection MINIs. Today we have a solid yellow MINI. Unlike the blue MINI CHALLENGE, red MINI CHALLENGE, and Morris Mini, this die-cast MINI is not sold individually.

The yellow MINI shown comes as part of the exclusive Hot Wheels Toys”R”Us Winter 10 Pack (see below). The product number is W6254 and sells for $10.99 in your local store or buy it online from Toys”R”Us.com.

Hot Wheels has released its 2011 New Models series and it includes two MINI CHALLENGE die-cast models. We previously featured the MINI CHALLENGE model in Chili Red with a White roof.

Today we have the MINI CHALLENGE model in Blue with a White roof. This MINI CHALLENGE is also number 30/50. Unlike the red one, this blue one comes in two versions: one with normal wheels (seen here) and one with special wheels and redline tires.

Collectibles: Hot Wheels 2011 Morris Mini

Last month we featured the Hot Wheels 2011 MINI CHALLENGE die-cast car. Now Hot Wheels has released a classic Mini for 2011.

Hot Wheels has released its 2011 Track Stars series and it includes this Morris Mini die-cast model. The Morris Mini model is teal with a red roof and wheels and with the number 3 and graphics on the sides.

The Morris Mini is number 10/15. It comes on collector card number 75/244 in both long (shown) and short card size.

Collectibles: Disney Pixar Cars 2 MINI Cooper

Among the vast number of collectibles produced for Disney Pixar’s Cars 2 movie is this set of four cars which includes a MINI Cooper. Although not a character in the movie, Disney has included the character “Ronnie Del Cooper” as a Lightning McQueen fan. The cars are made by Mattel.

The set is sold exclusively at Target for $18.99.

Hot Wheels has released its 2011 New Models series and it includes this MINI CHALLENGE die-cast model. The MINI CHALLENGE model is Chili Red with a White roof and center stripes with the number 1 and CHALLENGE graphics on the sides.

The MINI CHALLENGE is number 30/50.

collectible of the day: Hot Wheels Classics 2001 MINI Cooper

Back in March we featured a Hot Wheels 2001 MINI Cooper from the 2002 First Editions series. Since that car was released MINI has become a “Classic”.

Recently issued and available in stores now is this Hot Wheels Classics 2001 MINI Cooper. The die-cast MINI is number 15 of 30 from Series 5. According to the description it has a metal body, metal chassis, and special paint in a copper-gold color.

Previously we have featured Johnny Lightning The Italian Job die-cast MINIs and the Johnny Lightning 2004 New Cars MINI Cooper S.

Today we have die-cast MINIs from the Johnny Lightning Street Freaks Import Heat series. Each die-cast car comes with a matching card.
