Previously we featured a recent pack of MINI 2010 models sugarfree gum.

Today we have the newest gum pack: the MINI Countryman chewing gum. On the front is a Light White MINI Cooper S ALL4 Countryman. Inside are 12 pieces of spearmint gum.

The packs were included in the MINI Takes the States 2010 registration bags.

MINI has used plenty of candy as promotional items through the years.

The one shown here is for the MINI One D Media Launch on the Isle of Man in May 2003. The hard stick candy has a red outer layer with a white center. Running through the white middle is the word “MINI” in black (see detail, right).

Perhaps the newest MINI collectible available, MINI USA is making these packs of sugarfree gum available for MINI dealers to order. On the front are the three current Cooper models: MINI Cooper Convertible, MINI Cooper Hardtop, and MINI Cooper Clubman. On the back the packaging lists the hp, MSRP, 0-60 mph time, torque, mpg, and nickname for the three models. Inside are 12 pieces of mint gum.

Despite the American Life Savers candy, this promotional package came from Germany. From 2005, the MINI packaging says simply “DRIVE SAFER.” on the front and “www.MINI.de” on the back.

One day last month we featured the Luststoff sports drink. Today is another item from the launch of the MINI One D in June 2003: a LUSTSTOFF lollipop. This bright yellow candy features the slogan which translates as MINI ONE D. THE ONLY DIESEL THAT IS A MINI.

The MINI Clubman went on sale in the US two years ago today on February 16, 2008. Because Hot Chocolate Metallic was a new color on a MINI, much of the advertising for the MINI Clubman contained a lot of brown. MINI dealerships distributed free chocolate Chinese fortune cookies. Instead of a fortune inside, each piece of paper had a clever MINI Clubman slogan (found in contemporary print ads) and a “ZUG says” or “Lucky Number” Clubman fact.

MINI celebrated its 50th birthday worldwide in 2009. MINI produced many items to celebrate: all the way from two special edition MINIs, the Camden and the Mayfair, down to this small pack of Jelly Belly beans.

This candy pack comes from Germany. The term “GESCHENKT” means “gift” or “giveaway”.

Around the time of the MINI launch in the US, MINI USA partnered with SMINT to create a special edition package. Many dealers included a box or two with the delivery of a new MINI. Some continue to give them away today.

The MINI SMINT box has the MINI wordmark and logo on the front. On the back is “GET FRESH. GO MOTOR.” Each box contains 40 tiny, triangular mints dispensed one-at-a-time from the bottom.

The MINI SMINT is an official MINI item with a part number: 99 00 0 003 820.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) from MINI is $1.89 per box.

For the launch of the first MINI One D model in Germany in June of 2003, MINI created several food items labeled LUSTSTOFF. One of them was a 250 ml (about 8.5 oz.) plastic bottle containing a grapefruit-lemon sports drink.

The 4,8 L / 100 KM (49 mpg) refers to the excellent fuel economy of the diesel-powered MINI One D.
