As you probably already know, MINI killed the MINI CHALLENGE series in Germany. Race teams and fans in Europe were surprised and upset; the race teams had invested considerable time and euros in buying and building MINI CHALLENGE cars. In the meantime, we have these four current (2011) MINI Accessories catalogs from Germany to show what is currently being offered in Europe. Shown is the “ABGEFAHRENE GERICHTE.” (translates to “COOL DISHES”) recipe booklet. The small booklet measures about 4.75″ wide by 1.5″ high and is bound by a metal stud at the corner, on which the 24 double-sided pages pivot. The translated introduction page says: Four [...] For the launch of the MINI Cabrio (Convertible) in the summer of 2004, MINI used the slogan “ALWAYS OPEN” which in German is “IMMER OFFEN”. MINI Germany produced this button pin with “IMMER OFFEN.” in red with the MINI logo below. For the release of The Italian Job movie in Germany in 2003, we have this The Italian Job paper cup. Above a jumping Chili Red MINI Cooper S are the words “DAS KANN NUR MINI.” (Only MINI can do that.). At the bottom is the MINI logo and [...] FÜR JUNGS, DIE NICHT NUR AUTOS IM KOPF HABEN. This glossy, square-back catalog brochure from Austria has 52 pages full of MINI gear including clothing, towels, chill boxes, watches, interior design products, sunglasses, shoes, toys, models, keychains, and other items. This German fold-up brochure from 2003 is made of thick and glossy card stock. Inside are images of a Liquid Yellow MINI cooper from every angle. As shown above, there is a sheet of cling stickers which [...] On the Reeperbahn, Hamburg’s famous red-light district, MINI has installed a large billboard. It features a Chili Red MINI Cooper S and a large whip with the title “BÖSER MINI.” (meaning “BAD MINI.”).
