The Italian Job (2003) opened on this day seven years ago. In addition to a few human celebrities, the action film starred three MINIs: an Indi Blue MINI Cooper, a Chili Red MINI Cooper S, and a Pepper White MINI Cooper. This German fold-up brochure from 2003 is made of thick and glossy card stock. Inside are images of a Liquid Yellow MINI cooper from every angle. The ad has nine perforated cards which are also stickers. The one card not included in the ad is the Makeout MINI. Some had variations on the wording depending on the region of the country the stickers covered: LET’S GO FROM CA TO AZ BY WAY OF KS. Let’s bag states the way mountain climbers [...] In 2003, these small window clings began appearing in the service departments of MINI dealers in the US. Instead of showing the mileage until the next oil change, they displayed short, quirky phrases. MINI technicians could place them inside the windscreen after a service.
