It has been more than seven years since the Library of Motoring 4.0 launched on January 1, 2015 with an updated design. So it was well-overdue for a redesign. From 2010 through 2016, the focus of the website was its blog. We kept up with MINI news, pricing changes, monthly sales figures, and other obligatory topics. To highlight our large collection of MINI collectibles, we ran our Collectible of the Day series where we featured a different MINI collectible each day for 365 days.
But there are several other MINI news websites and blogs, not to mention official MINI social media accounts, posting the latest MINI news and press releases. So we won’t be doing that in the future. Our strength has always been as a MINI reference site collecting and organizing MINI facts, figures, options, and related websites. We have pages devoted to cataloging and listing classic Mini and MINI books, magazines, brochures, and print ads and inserts—the original reason the Library of Motoring was created.
So today we launched the Library of Motoring 4.0. The blog will remain, mainly as a place to announce updates to content and new features to the site. The focus will be on our bookshelves, MINI options lists, collectibles, and reference collections. This is unique content found nowhere else.
