So today we feature the final MTTS 2006 collectible, the MINI Takes the States 2006 antenna flag.  The antenna flag promoted the then-new MINI credit card and was given away to people who applied for one during any of the events.

The antenna flag features the MINI Takes the States 2006 logo.  Below that is the MINI PLATINUM VISA® CARD website address “www.4MyMINICard.com” and “MINI Financial Services”.

MINI TAKES THE STATES ROAD ATLAS

Today we have another item in our MINI Takes the States 2006 collectibles series.  The two week-long MTTS 2006 rally was still going on four years ago today.

This over-sized MINI Takes the States Road Atlas was given out during events of MTTS 2006.  The Road Atlas is a re-branded MapQuest atlas.  The stapled book has 144 pages full of places of interest and maps covering the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

When you registered for MINI Takes the States 2006, MINI USA sent you a welcome package in the mail.  Inside were two rubber wristbands with “MINI Takes the States” written in them.  The wristband was your entry into the MTTS 2006 events.

We continue with our series of MINI takes the States 2006 collectibles since the event was still taking place four years ago.

Today we have the MINI Takes the States 2006 grille badge.  This shiny metal grille badge is in the shape of an interstate sign.  In the middle blue field is “MINI TAKES THE STATES” with the year “2006” below the stars and stripes.   Along the outside edges the badge reads “The MINI TransAmerican Motortastic Road Trip to End All Road Trips Rally”.

The MTTS 2006 grille badge was sold at each event during the trip.

During MINI Takes the States 2006, MINI USA distributed these free music CDs to listen to while motoring.  They were sponsored by SPIN magazine.  The CD featured bands local to each of the cities of the rally.

MINI Takes the States 2006 Travelogue
Four years ago today, MINI Takes the States 2006 began in Monterey, California.

Each registered attendee was given this MINI TAKES THE STATES TRAVELOGUE.  The spiral-bound book was part guide and part scrapbook.  There are pages to collect names and information from friends you met.  Journal pages are designed for attaching photos and recording fun events.  There is a pocket inside for holding souvenirs.

Two pages are set up for collecting stamps from each city you visited.

For MINI Takes the States 2006, MINI USA created this MINI QUARANTINE KIT.  It was included in the registration package but also inserted into several magazines as an ad.  The MINI QUARANTINE KIT was sealed in a plastic bag and contained a MINI QUARANTINE LETTER, MINI QUARANTINE STICKER, and MINI QUARANTINE INSTRUCTIONS.
