From 2004 to 2007 MINI USA’s MINI Motoring Accessories catalogs were called “YOU-IFICATION WORKBOOK”. The 2004 catalog (shown above, left) featured roadsigns. In 2005 (shown above, right), MINI USA used actual MINI nicknames for the covers. The 2006 edition (shown below, left) was made to look like a bubble-test sheet. Finally, the 2007 version (which is undated in the title and shown below, right) has personalized or vanity license plates on its covers.
Pictured is the two covers for “THE OTHER FRANKFURT.” guide. Both sides have the dual-image effect. One side shows the rear of the MINI Clubman with the slogan “MINI CLUBMAN. THE OTHER MINI.”. The other side is taken from one of the MINI “family photo” ads and reads “THE OTHER PETERMAN.”.
This 15 page stapled brochure for 2007 was the first for the second-generation MINI. It discusses tuning, but contains no tuning kits. The brochure does have JCW history, accessories, wheels, carbon fiber items, and merchandise.
The MINI USA catalog number is JCW-111. Printed in USA 11/2006.

The ads are still being distributed by MINI USA as recently as MINI Takes the States 2010 where they were included in the registration bags. They were first available in these magazine issues:
This foam can cooler was given away by MINI Financial Services during MINI Takes the States 2008. This version is collapsible unlike the MINI Takes the States 2008 cup holder we featured in April.
Most car owners, and even car enthusiasts, couldn’t tell you the name of the person running their favorite car brand. But many MINI owners can not only tell you his name, but can say they have met him and even motored with him.
James L. “Jim” McDowell is Vice President of MINI USA. He’s a Harvard graduate and formerly worked at Porsche. Jim joined BMW in 1993 and “famously” traded jobs with Jack Pitney to become the head of MINI USA in 2005. For an automotive executive, Jim is highly accessible. He often attends major events like MINI Takes the States and most new MINI dealership openings and will gladly chat and sign an autograph.
Jim might be most famous, however, for his recent challenge to Porsche:

Please leave a comment if you have a state oval sticker other than FL shown below.
